Waggin' Tails Doggie Day Care is owned and operated by Andrea Cermak. Andrea has had many experiences to prepare her for operating her own business. She is a state board-certified licensed veterinary technician, with 2 years of clinical veterinary hospital experience. She was also a licensed EMT and firefighter, working in Butte County, CA for 2 years. Most recently, Andrea spent four years teaching science to 7th and 8th graders at a local junior high school. Andrea has a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on science. She also has a California professional clear multiple subject teaching credential with CLAD emphasis, an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, and an Associate of Science degree in Animal Health Technology.
Andrea has always loved dogs, and the experiences gained from her previous professions along with her love for dogs has allowed her to create a fun, safe, enriching environment to make the lives of dogs even better.
Andrea is the
proud dog-mommy to 3 miniature dachshunds, Moose, Emmy, and Buzz. Moose
and Buzz
are wire-haired dachshunds and are quite the clowns of the group. Emmy
is a smooth-haired dachshund and has a more "typical" dachshund
personality...more independent with a zeal for hunting and digging. Buzz
and Emmy are Moose's biological parents, but Andrea is mom to them all!
Andrea's "kids" can be seen at Waggin' Tails most days playing and
having a good time.
